Meet Asa Pitt

Entertainment is a business built by people willing to bet on themselves.

Actors. Creators. Producers. Athletes. Founders. Production companies. People with an idea, a project, a business, or a career they believe is worth building.

Pitt Entertainment Law was built for those people.

I did not become an entertainment lawyer because it seemed like a good career path. I became an entertainment lawyer because entertainment has always been what interested me. I grew up obsessed with movies, spending countless weekends at the theater and following the industry long before I ever thought about law school. At the same time, I was a high school athlete, performed with my improv troupe, played plenty of video games, and was fascinated by people who built careers and businesses around the things they loved.

I also knew I never wanted to be a cog in somebody else's machine. I wanted to build something of my own and help other people do the same.

That interest led me to Chapman University Fowler School of Law, where I concentrated my studies in Entertainment Law and gained experience throughout the industry, including internships with Mosaic, Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Imagine Entertainment, and Universal Pictures. After law school, I began my legal career at United Talent Agency (UTA), where I worked alongside some of the entertainment industry's leading dealmakers and representatives.

Today, that foundation has evolved into a practice operating at the intersection of film, television, digital media, sports, intellectual property, and finance, advising the businesses, creators, and brands behind modern entertainment.

Over the years, I have negotiated multimillion-dollar sponsorship agreements, film financing transactions, production agreements, creator partnerships, licensing deals, and countless other agreements that help clients move their businesses and careers forward. Whether a client is producing a film, launching a brand, raising financing, signing a sponsorship deal, starting a podcast, or building a new business, my job is to help them make smart decisions and capitalize on opportunities.

But the legal work is only part of the job.

Most clients do not call me because they need a contract reviewed. They call because they have a problem, an opportunity, or a question.

"I got offered this deal."

"I'm starting this project."

"How do I structure this?"

"Does this make sense?"

"Is this bullshit?"

Those are the conversations I enjoy most.

My role is to serve as a trusted advisor who helps clients evaluate opportunities, navigate challenges, make informed decisions, and build toward what comes next. Sometimes that means negotiating a contract. Sometimes it means structuring a company, solving a business problem, making an introduction, or identifying an opportunity that might otherwise be missed.

Clients trust me because I am accessible, practical, and invested in their success. I believe in answering the phone, being transparent, communicating clearly, and treating people with respect. We negotiate hard and protect our clients' interests, but we do it professionally. The goal is not to win an argument. The goal is to get the deal done, protect the upside, and create opportunities for the future.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me at a movie theater, watching a game, attending a live event, or spending time with the people who matter most. I have tremendous respect for self-starters and people willing to take risks in pursuit of something meaningful.

Those are the people I built this firm to serve.
